Progressive Global Training

As you may know I am based in Cardiff and today I came across a company called Progressive Global Training they are a Direct Marketing Company.

I must say their head guy is a top bloke. He knows his stuff!!
I talked with him about the difficulties people have starting off marketing online and he gave me some tips which he has used offline.

The company certainly looks like "its buzzing" the atmosphere amongst the staff was great.

Somewhere that I am planning on visiting again soon.

I think his ideas and approach to "offline marketing" can benefit many of us "online marketers". The ideas he gave me are being put into action as we speak - My successes will be posted on this blog.

Does Google Care about antyhing other than backlinks

It claims that Google has very little interest in your website other than the quality of Backlinks when assigning Page Rank.

I would be interested to hear your thoughts.

Twitter - Over 100 Followers

Just a quick update on progress:

I still have not made any money yet but what I have done is made some great "online friends" who have advised me and helped in various ways.

I have also passed the 100 followers mini target I set myself and all of them are hand followed, I never used any autofollow tricks or tools.

I am currently working on a few no cost to me projects that I am hoping will bring in some funds before the end of the month.

Still Skint: I have decided to write some articles

Having pimped myself up and down the forums looking for Paypal Change to reach my first goal of $100; I have decided to write some articles in a Niche that I am very familiure with because of my day job.

I am going to write articles in the IT niche (reg checkers, AV, Spyware, TuneUp Tips etc..)

The plan is to write 20 quality articles and sell them in packs of 10, on limited distribution.

Currently I am thinking of $10 per pack and only selling 75 per pack.

This way I can "hopefully" raise some cash to get to my first goal - and it should not cost me anything to do.

:)

P.S if you need articles in this niche, please let me know and I will contact you as soon as they are ready.

Earnings Update or lack of

Still Skint!! Have earned nothing as yet but I have made some good contacts and been fortunate to get review copies of ebooks intended for "newbies". I have read and reviewed one ebook and I am in the process of reading the other. (I will post the reviews here in due course)

Twitter is keeping my motivation up, because each time I get a new follower this increases my good mood factor. I have therfore set myself my first twitter goal of gettiung 100 followers, as of 11/Aug/2009 I have 29 followers. I am hoping this will lead to money making opportunities for me. I am looking for "instant commission" work and affiliate schemes because I want to immediatly reinvest the money into getting my own hosting and domains.

The ideas are flowing well - I have lots but just need some $$ to get them going.

The Power Of Twitter

When I setup my blog, the next thing I did was joint Twitter.

For the first few days I was following people that had given me good advice on the Warrior Forum but I wasnt getting any followers.

All of a sudden in the past 24 hours my followers are growing :)

For seasoned Twitterers this is probably water of a ducks back to you, but for me its very exciting!

The other great thing is, the people who are following me and the ones I am following are giving me some great links and advice and best of all its FREE :)

My First Goal - $100

My first goal is to make $100 in order to purchase a domain name and one year hosting.

From this I hope I can build a website that I can monetize in some Niche in order to get the funds coming in (I hope )

I decided to start by asking for work in the IM field.

Starting with zero £0.00 / $0.00 - Im Skint

Having been trawling the internet looking for a way to make money I stumbled upon what is known as "Internet Marketing". The trouble is, you need money to make money and Im well skint.

For the past 9 months, I have surfed the internet researching ways to make money online and looking into all the IM buzzwords like PPC, PPA, Affiliate Marketing, Article Marketing, JV, SEO, Paid Blogging and any other ways to make money online. The biggest problem is most of these require some initial investment either for an "ebook guide to.." or to buy a domain name and web hosting. I cannot do that because Im skint.

Ok Im not entielry skint I do have "some money" but I need it to live and cannot afford to invest any of it because it apys the bills to keep me online, and for the purpose of my "online adventure" in Internet Marketing I am going to start entirely from zero. (skint)

I am only going to use FREE services (google mail, Blogger, Google keyword tools, etc..) and not forgetting the GOLD MINE of knowledge - The Warrior Forum.

Any money I do make will be re-invested into my venture and I will not use any money from anywhere else. I want to see how far I can go online starting with zero from the perspective of being skint (which I am).

I will use my blog as a means of recording my efforts, success and failiures. I will also use the blog as a resource and reference for anyone else looking to start Internet Marketing with no money.
